Export clusters and what they make
Gujarat's export factories sit in a few dense clusters, each with its own product and its own risks. The table lists the clusters we can confirm from government sources.

Surat is a Town of Export Excellence only for gems and jewellery. Its large synthetic-fabric trade is a state-listed cluster, not a TEE product.
Products we inspect in Gujarat
- Tiles and sanitaryware from Morbi: vitrified and porcelain tiles, ceramic wall tiles and sanitaryware. We check shade and calibre lots, size, warpage, edge chips, glaze faults, flush function on WCs and crate packing. Water absorption and breaking strength are lab tests.
- Castings and brass parts from Rajkot, Ahmedabad and Jamnagar: iron castings, steel forgings and brass precision parts: dimensions against the drawing, thread gauges, surface defects, and the material certificates against the heat numbers.
- Pumps: pump inspection includes witnessing the factory's performance test, nameplate data and packing.
- Fabrics from Ahmedabad and Surat: denim fabric, dyed and printed fabric, polyester and viscose fabrics and synthetic and printed sarees, checked roll by roll for width, weight, shade and weaving faults.

Chemicals and port loading
For chemicals and dyes from Ankleshwar and Vapi we check packing and loading only. The inspector counts drums, bags and IBCs against the packing list, checks labels and marks against your order, looks for leaks, damaged packs and wet pallets, and records the container number and seal. We do not sample, test or certify the chemical itself; that needs an accredited lab and the supplier's own documents.
Many Gujarat exporters stuff containers at the factory and send them to Mundra or other west-coast ports. Container loading supervision covers the container's condition, the count, stowage and the seal, with photos of each stage.
How coverage and travel work in Gujarat
We have no inspector base in Gujarat, so every town in the state is Band C. An inspector travels from Jodhpur, our nearest base, or a vetted freelance inspector covers the visit, working to the Clear To Load checklist. A supervisor reviews every report before it is released.
