Export clusters and what they make
Export work in Madhya Pradesh is spread across weaving towns, a carpet centre in the north and industrial belts around Indore and Dewas. These are the clusters we can confirm from official sources.

A GI protects the name. A saree sold as Chanderi or Maheshwar should be woven in the registered area, so ask the supplier where the looms are. We can record the weaving location in the report.
Products we inspect in Madhya Pradesh
- Handloom sarees and fabrics: cotton and handloom sarees, silk sarees, silk fabrics and handloom fabrics. We check length and width, the blouse piece, zari and border joins, floats and broken ends, shade against the approved sample and fold and pack. Some irregularity is normal in hand weaving, so agree with the supplier in advance what counts as a defect.
- Carpets from Gwalior: hand-knotted wool rugs: size and squareness, knot density counted on the back, pile height, colour, washing and binding. More on the rugs and carpets hub.
- Fibre and colour tests: silk content, colour fastness and restricted dyes are lab tests. We pull and seal samples through lab testing coordination.

Pharmaceuticals and soya: packing and loading only
For pharmaceutical shipments from Dewas and soya meal from Indore, we do not assess product quality, manufacturing practice or food safety. Those belong to the regulators, the supplier's quality system and accredited labs. What we can do is supervise the shipment: count cartons or bags against the packing list, check marks and labels against your order, note damaged, wet or torn packs, and supervise container loading through to the seal.
How coverage and travel work in Madhya Pradesh
We have no inspector base in Madhya Pradesh, so every town in the state is Band C. An inspector travels from one of our bases, or a vetted freelance inspector covers the visit, working to the Clear To Load checklist and verdict. A supervisor reviews every report before release.
