What is made in Rajkot
Rajkot is an engineering town. Its foundries pour grey and ductile iron, its machine shops turn and bore the castings, and assemblers build pumps, engines and machines around them. Many foundries sell castings to pump and valve makers in the same city, so one export order often depends on several local suppliers.

Timing and logistics
- Test dates: witnessed tests run on the factory's test bed and schedule. Agree the test procedure and the units to be tested before the visit, and tell us the date as soon as it is fixed.
- Castings first: a during-production inspection at the foundry or machine shop finds porosity and dimensional problems before parts are assembled into pumps or machines.
- New supplier: a factory audit shows whether the foundry's lab, test bed and calibration records exist as described.
- Packing and loading: heavy parts need crating, rust protection and ISPM 15 wood packaging; container loading supervision checks bracing and lashing.
