What is made in Bengaluru
Bengaluru is better known abroad for software, but its export factories also cut and sew garments, print books and packaging and assemble electronic parts. Several bodies behind Karnataka's craft and textile names are based in the city, including the Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation, which holds the Mysore Silk geographical indication.

Timing and logistics
We have no inspector based in Karnataka, so an inspector travels in and the travel cost is quoted before you book. Bengaluru has a large airport, and Channapatna and Mysuru lie on the road south-west of the city, so toy, silk and incense orders in those towns can share one trip.
- Garments: a during-production inspection once the first sizes come off the line finds measurement and shade problems before the whole order is sewn.
- Incense: sticks dry slowly in wet weather. From about June to September, check moisture before packing; damp sticks go mouldy in sealed cartons.
- Festivals: many units close for Dasara and Diwali, between September and November.
