What is made in Jagadhri and Yamunanagar
Jagadhri and Yamunanagar are twin towns in Yamunanagar district, Haryana, close to the Uttar Pradesh border at the Yamuna river. The DC-MSME skill-mapping sheet for the district lists these clusters:
| Cluster | Place | Products |
|---|---|---|
| Brass manufacturing | Jagadhri | Brass products and utensils |
| Jagadhri Metal Manufacturer Association | Jagadhri | Aluminium products and utensils |
| Re-rolling steel | Jagadhri | Re-rolling of stainless steel (sheet, not finished utensils) |
| Plywood manufacturing | Yamunanagar district | Plywood and particle board |
| Engineering | Yamunanagar | Engineering products |
Stainless steel, honestly. The current DC-MSME sheet lists stainless steel at Jagadhri only as re-rolling. The older MSME-DI Karnal district profile (data to 2010-11) says buyers come to the district for stainless steel and aluminium utensils, and it names a stainless steel and aluminium utensils group of about 40 units that recorded no exports at the time. We have found no recent official source for a stainless utensil export cluster here, so ask any stainless supplier where its bodies are pressed and finished.
Plywood. The district profile says Yamunanagar is known for plywood because poplar, the main raw material, grows nearby.

| Brass and copper utensils | Tin or steel lining cover on food surfaces; solder joints; lacquer on outer faces; leak test; weight and gauge | Copper and brass kitchenware inspection |
| Aluminium and non-stick cookware | Coating thickness and cross-cut adhesion; base flatness; induction plate bonding; rivets and handles; PFAS claims against reports | Aluminium and non-stick cookware inspection |
| Stainless steel cookware | Grade by witnessed XRF, run by the factory or a PMI specialist (304 against 201); clad base bonding; handle rivets; heat tint | Stainless steel cookware inspection |

The kitchenware and tableware inspection overview covers sampling. We pull and seal samples through lab testing coordination. Plywood used in furniture is covered on our engineered wood and MDF furniture page.

Timing and logistics
Our nearest inspectors are in Saharanpur, on the Uttar Pradesh side of the Yamuna. Jagadhri and Yamunanagar are not inspector base cities, so travel is charged at actual cost and quoted before you book.
- Several workshops: pressing, polishing, lining and packing can be done at different units. A during-production inspection checks the first finished pieces before the lot is lined, coated or polished.
- Lab lead time: food-contact tests take days. Pull samples early so the report is back before the final inspection.
- Monsoon: from about July to September, humidity causes tarnish on brass and swelling in plywood. We check storage and packing on the day.
- Combining visits: where a utensil unit and a plywood mill are close, one trip can cover both on separate man-days.
